We educate the next generation in environmental sustainability solutions to help children discover what a truly sustainable world could look like, enriched with biodiversity, renewable energy, sustainable food production and transport, water conservation, recycling, and environmentally sustainable businesses.

Visits include solar farms to learn about renewable energy sources and energy saving techniques, biodiversity planting to support pollinators across towns and cities, boating down the river to learn about water conservation and building sustainable towns and cities out of Lego.

As part of the Stratford Schools Sustainability Programme, Graduate Planet work with schools to provide exciting educational trips.

Renewable Energy

The Energy Day events were hosted at the Leys solar farm which is part of at the Heart of England Community Energy Solar Farm, the largest community solar farm in the UK and it is situated just outside Stratford upon Avon.

Biodiversity Workshops

Throughout June and July 2021 a total of 150 children attended the Biodiversity Day. Running across 3 venues the children learned about the importance of biodiversity.

Sustainable Cities Workshops

Enabling the next generation to build more sustainable towns and cities to help mitigate climate change and create a more sustainable future

Sustainability Workshops

Each school can take up to 60 children to each of the 7 exciting trips to learn about forestry, biodiversity, energy, food, water, waste & sustainable cities. They visit a solar farm, a real MRF recycling centre, bell boating down the river with the Wildlife Trust to learn about water conservation, biodiversity and tree planting, they take part in cookery classes on a farm to learn about sustainable farming techniques and finally build a giant sustainable city out of Lego.

Action Station

Situated at Stratford upon Avon train station, we are in the process of building a biodiversity educational space, planted by local children. It will provide advice, inspiration and encouragement to local residents and visitors on how they can support wildlife in their own gardens and communities.

Great Big Bug Hunt

The Great British Bug Hunt comprises of 3 pollinator plants and a 48 page beautifully illustrated book filled with games, puzzles, and information about how you can support the wildlife in your garde. It was give to 500 vulnerable people isolating alone during the first Covid19 lockdown to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. It has had great feedback from people who received it, and has now been redesigned for children to learn about biodiversity.
